Localised Cryostimulation is a natural and powerful treatment that triggers a healing response in the body through the gentle application of extreme cold temperatures.
It is effective for
- the healing and prevention of injuries
- relieving pain
- treating nerve damage
- recovery after bone fractures
- post-surgical recovery
- reducing inflammation
- treating inflammatory diseases (arthritis, fibromyalgia)
- skin disorders
- reversal of the ageing process
- reducing the effects of stress
- anxiety and depression
- wellbeing and prevention
As a wellbeing treatment, Localised Cryostimulation is also effective for deep relaxation, general self-care and nurture. It is often transformative (life-changing) and can be used for support during life changes.
A short consultation will help me establish what regimen would be most beneficial to you and advise you. We can then decide on a personalised treatment for you.
Cryostimulation on a small area of the body is used for reducing pain, to speed up recovery after an injury and for treating specific problems that affect that area. It can be followed by massage to maximise the effect.
Cryostimulation on the spine targets the central nervous system and is used as a systemic treatment (it treats the whole body) and holistically, to treat the whole person. It is best followed by a back massage to turbocharge the treatment. You can hear me describe my personal experience of this treatment in this blog post.
Cryostimulation on the abdomen is effective to treat digestive issues and boost the immune system. It is calming and soothing. It can be followed by colon deep tissue massage or by a soft soothing massage for an extra boost.
Cryo facial is wonderful to remove traces of fatigue, to tighten the skin, and to enliven. It can be used to treat headaches and for local problems. It feels good on its own or can be followed by a short face massage.
Cryo + Massage is Localised Cryostimulation followed by deep and powerful yet gentle and safe bodywork. The combination of Localised Cryostimulation and massage has the effect of supercharging the treatment, making it a potent revitalising, rejuvenating and relaxing therapy. This combined treatment feels wonderful! The calming sensation of warm oil and pressure compliment the energising feel of the cryo wonderfully.
How many sessions will I need
It usually takes 2 to 3 sessions for the full potential of cryostimulation to unfold and for the body’s healing mechanisms to be triggered. With a commitment to regular treatment, healing occurs faster than with massage alone, and are long-lasting or permanent.
